David Halaifonua who is know for being a big tackler is shown in this video by The Rugby Zone making a HUGE hit on Cory Allen.
Born in Tonga and part of the Tonga national team he currently plays for Gloucester Rugby in the Aviva Premiership. He first played for Warringah on club level which is a rugby union club located in Australia. After that he relocated to the French club US Bergerac. Halaifonua along with his fellow Tongans Hale T-Pole and Paula Kaho played for the Sri Lanka champions Kandy SC during the 2013/2014 season.
He signed for English side Gloucester on 4 December 2014. Regarding his international career his debut was made for Tonga in 2009 Pacific Nations Cup where Tonga lost to Fiji.
This specific video shows the brutal tackle he made on Welsh Winger Cory Allen. It was during an international match between Tonga and Wales. Halaifonua played in the Full Back position for this match. And the tackle was indeed massive. He complete knocked Allen’s socks off! The TMO was called in afterwards to check the legality of the tackle. They however found nothing wrong and Allen got up and continued playing.
